We wake up thinking about how to raise support, awareness and funds for a treatment and eventual cure to Alexander Disease.

Grayson's Ladder, a component fund of the Community Foundation of Greater Chattanooga, does so by creating opportunities for those in the Chattanooga community and beyond to become part of that mission through events, fundraising and raising awareness and support for those affected by the disease.

Our Mission

To be a catalyst for research and development of a treatment, and eventual cure, of Alexander Disease, and to help those with this disease and other types of Leukodystrophy get the care they need.

Our Values

  • Faith. Grayson’s Ladder exists in service to God, and is founded on the belief that the work we do can serve a greater good and point to Him.

  • Hope. AxD is scary and the need is urgent, but we are an organization committed to hope – hope that we can find a treatment, and the resolve to see it happen.

  • Love. Love always protects, trusts, hopes and perseveres (1 Corinthians 13:7). We are committed to working together with kindness, patience, humility, selflessness and trust.

  • Joy. We’re not in this alone. We want you to join as we rally around those affected by AxD and Leukodystrophy, and seek to foster a sense of joy and community as we unite for this cause.

  • Cure. Grayson’s Ladder will passionately fight Alexander Disease and will use all its resources to fund research and develop a cure, and make sure those who need care or assessment by medical experts can get it.
